Deep Space

This year's competition theme was called Deep Space. Two alliances of deep space travelers race to place hatch panels on their rockets and cargo ship or load valuable cargo for transport off the planet and then return to the safety of their habitat. Competitions were attended in North Bay, Ryerson, and the provincial championship in Mississauga.

Our robot was designed to be able to load cargo and carry and place the hatch panels to score points. This was done using an elevator mechanism to be able to raise and lower the arm. along with a multi-talented claw which could carry the cargo and have hatch panels carried on top of them.

During this competition, our team competed alongside 30 other teams and managed to become quarterfinalists during the Playoff matches with our alliance members: 5036 and 4308. We successfully ended the competition by winning the Entrepreneurship Award!
